High standard design to improve efficiency

In order to enhance space utilization and operational efficiency, the Shanghai Qingpu Distribution Center (phase two) is fitted with a loading dock at both the north and south ends of the facility. This is one of the more prominent features and advantages of the second phase of warehouse planning.

A key feature of the park, this design can dramatically enlarge operating spaces, including parking spaces. While the first-floor warehouse area is about 30,000 SQM, the operating space on the north and south sides amounts to a respectable 15,000 SQM. In the north side, the presence of the second floor as a natural oversized dock shelter can allow the customers to carry out loading and unloading operations in a variety of weather conditions. It is particularly suitable for customers whose key requirements include a large site area and high operational efficiency.

In addition, the east and west sides of the second floor of the warehouse are equipped with ramps to ensure the efficiency of logistics vehicles running on the second floor. The load capacity of three tons per square meter for the second floor has been acclaimed as a benchmark in the industry. This is the result of heavy investment in the construction of the warehouse, which makes the second floor of the warehouse comparable to the first floor in terms of its load-bearing level. The lowest clear height of the second floor of the warehouse is 10 meters. With thinner and more widely spaced columns, warehouses offer increased use efficiency (storage capacity rate) when using high shelves and 15%-20% storage locations. Customers, especially those involved in third-party logistics, can massively benefit from this kind of warehouse design.
