Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu Province and one of the city groups in the Yangtze River Delta. Behind Suzhou, Nanjing has the second-largest economy in Jiangsu Province. According to the “Nanjing Work Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of Industrial Chains”, efforts for the next phase will be targeted on eight industries, including software and information services, new energy vehicles, new pharmaceuticals and health & wellness. By 2025, an advanced manufacturing system featuring controllable in-house developed core technologies, safe and efficient industrial chains and smooth and sustainable industrial ecosystems will have been put in place.
