Wuxi, China, is a city on the Yangtze River Delta about halfway between Shanghai to the east and Nanjing to the west. It borders Suzhou and Changzhou, and the broader region is known as the Su-Xi-Change region. The Wuxi metropolitan area has a population of about 6.5 million.

Behind Suzhou, Wuxi is the second-largest city in Jiangsu province. A center of heavy industry, Wuxi is home to companies in the machinery and petrochemical industries. Wuxi is also one of China’s leading destinations for internal tourism, and Lake Taihu, China’s largest freshwater lake, is the largest attraction.

Logistics and distribution play an important role in Wuxi’s economy. Wuxi sits at the nexus of several rail freight lines and major highways, including the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway and the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway. The port of Jiangyin, a deep-water port on the Yangtze River, is about 25 miles away.

Prologis owns and operates logistics and distribution facilities in Wuxi.
